When you sit on a chair that has been expose under the sun for hours, what will you feel? Heat, that’s right, and what if I ask you to sit on that chair for just 1 minutes? You will probably think that I’m mad for getting you into this situation. On the other hand, if I let you play your favourite video game for 1 hour, and you may the time is too short for you to enjoy.

If you sit on the hot chair for 1 minute, you will have the illusion that time pass so slow, even 1 minute on the chair can sometimes seems like you’re sitting there for almost a and hour. In contrast, you will felt that playing video games for 1 hour pass by as it was only 1 minute.
Why these phenomena happen, was it a biological or psychological effect? If it is, then why our mind don’t evolve with time to turn over the situation? The nature of evolution is always “good stay, bad eliminate” isn’t it? Then why we felt time passing so long when we are doing the things that we hate, and it pass so fast when we want it to stay?
Or is it a physics phenomena that affecting the condition? Maybe, or maybe not. But from my personal opinion, our body’s sense toward the environment is always the at the same rate, I think it’s less possible for our sensory ending to slow down the transmission of the impulse to our brain. So that mean only one factor left, that’s physics, maybe there’s some law that still haven’t been discovered. Or it’s like some kind of 4th dimension effect or something…It maybe quite confusing, but we always facing this problem.
What do you think? Pls leave some comment. Thanks
